Thrilled to announce the closing of The Light Park as an independent sponsor. The Light Park provides sparkling drive-through Christmas light shows for families and other holiday enthusiasts.
Huge thanks to Tim Franklin-Hensler for introducing me to the seller. I quickly realized this was an amazing one-of-a-kind target. It’s a really cool business. However, I was busy fundraising for Minds Capital in the spring, and the all-equity raise was going to be a heavy lift.
To solve for this I partnered with Michael Sutton, a best-in-class sponsor who has executed on multi-location concepts previously. Mike proposed an arrangement and has led the deal ever since. His outstanding team at Guideboat Capital Partners did a bang-up job in closing it in time for the Christmas season. As a co-sponsor I will be involved at the board level going forward.
In addition to opening more parks for growth, diversifying TLP’s seasonality with new concepts and revenue lines will be the biggest catalyst for EV growth. Let me know if you have any ideas!
