They do an amazing job hosting independent sponsors and searchers. Three takeaways from today’s event:
i) Initiative is an entrepreneurial superpower. Don’t wait for instructions, invitations, or for life to hand you success. Take charge. Move. Make it happen.
ii) Independent sponsors resemble real estate developers more than private equity principals. It’s less about polish & process, more about vision, stakeholder alignment, and A-to-Z project management.
iii) Everyone is called a sponsor or a searcher, but no two paths are the same. The common denominator isn’t the label, but the ability to solve the never-ending barrage of obstacles.
