I have mixed feelings about investor portals / virtual data rooms (VDR).
Yes, they are useful for organization and real-time document sharing.
But the experience is frustrating when I have to register, verify my email, and log into yet another unknown portal just to review a CIM (pdf), and then receive daily notifications forever.
If it were a one-off, fine.
But when I am juggling logins across ShareFile, Google Drive, HeyCanopy, DocSend, McGuireWoods Q, OneHub, Sharefile, Ideals VDR, Jupiter Square, Carta (Ryan H.'s drip campaign will hunt me to my grave), CSDisco, AppFolio (really for real estate...), ClientSecure, DataSite, Vaultrooms, SecureVDR, Intralinks, Ansarada, Dealroom, Firmex, and Box.
Email still works fine.
