World-class networker shared that one of his KPIs was to make 25 introductions each week.
“If you provide valuable intros, they will want to return the favor.”
He prefers to make peer-to-peer intros. Managing Partner to Managing Partner, CIO to CIO, FO patriarch to FO patriarch, etc. Otherwise the match-up stands less of a chance to provide mutual learning & value.
“But how do you filter people? How do you decide who is worthwhile of introductions,” I asked.
1) Speed. Conversational pace, forward motion in storytelling, ability to understand and distill.
2) Clarity. Ability to explain succinctly and structured, as opposed to rambling and scattered.
3) Humility.
Thanks, Nathan Placks.
