If you’ve just acquired a business and things don't feel quite right, start a document where you insert all dubious post-closing observations, such as:
- What was not as promised
- What was not disclosed
- Anything adversarial that happened during the transition, etc.
Document everything - even the small things that may seem trivial (include screenshots and other evidence). Cynical? Yes. Smart? Yes.
