If you have 2 new platforms under LOI: well done, but focus each investor meeting on 1.
What sponsor thinks: “The investor will be super impressed that we have 2 deals. It proves our capacity and sourcing tactics. If I present both, chances are they’ll like at least one of them. And I want to socialize both deals as much as possible.”
What investor thinks: “it’s hard enough to get up to speed on one deal, let alone two. This sponsor is all over the place. How can (s)he have conviction and mindshare to execute two platforms at the same time? This pitch is diluted since I just get high level overview on both. What are the odds both will actually close anyway.”
